Learning Crossroads Basic Academy provides a "Back to Basics" approach to K-12 education. LCBA is a free, public charter school incorporating a caring, qualified staff and a focus on fundamentals. Our programs are proven through successful standardized testing results at all grade levels with high percentages of our students meeting and exceeding state expectations. 100% of our 3rd and 4th graders were able to meet or exceed state standards on the Spring 2007 AIMS test. Our K-8 students receive regular instruction and our 9-12 students are educated through our distance learning lab where students who have fallen behind in other schools are able to catch up and even get ahead. Our goal is to give children a solid foundation in the basics of education including Phonics, Reading, Math, Social Studies, Science, P.E. and Art. We believe this education will help them succeed in education and future endeavors. At LCBA, we also believe that moral education is a necessity in the academic growth of a child. We stress to all students (and require of them) respect and kindness for their fellow human beings. Simple manners and respect are required at all times. |
